Its Current State

Here is Leyland Atlantean 1215 in its current Condition and i will be restoring it into its Original condition to what it was when it was in Service with the Public transport Commission back in the 1970s.

Alot of work is involved in this vehicle as at the moment iam taking old paint and doing other repairs to it and also planned to paint the whole Interior and the Outside of this Bus.

This Bus was new to now closed Pagewood deopt in 1973 and served the areas around the Eastern Suburbs. This bus was one of the buses that had caught fire at Pagewood depot in April 1974 and was rebuilt by Apprentinces at Chullora Workshops between 1976 and 1977. It was next to Other Atlantean 1219 which was destoryed by the Fire and was withdrawn at only 13 months old.

Here is the Interior when the Restoration began, the Ceiling is now scraped and will be repainted and the same goes for the walls and which will be sanded back and prepaired for painting.

The Floor on the nearside will be repaired due to wood rot as was hosed by Previous owner that had it and seat frames will be removed to begin the repairs and will be removed for the painting that wont take place for a few months as we are now in the colder months.
